Welcome to Gloucester Public Schools. We are excited to welcome our newest students and delighted to have you join our educational community! The Gloucester Public Schools Student Registration Office provides information, resources and support for enhancing family and community partnerships. Our goal is to create a positive, readily accessible community support system, to ensure that families and students have ample opportunities to access resources and information that enable children to reach their full potential.
Gloucester Public Schools serves approximately 2800 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. We operate four Elementary (K-5) Schools, one Middle (6-8) School, and one High School.

Student Registration is a multistep process. Please review and follow the steps below.
You Will Need a Number of Documents
Every family needs a number of documents to complete the registration process in Gloucester. Please review our document checklist here. Please assemble all of the documents from this checklist before submitting your child's registration packet.Required Registration Documents
Families MUST complete all documents in the registration packet and provide ALL documents from the Required Document Checklist to enroll a child in Gloucester. Incomplete registration packets will not be accepted.
The Registration Process
Registration documents must be completed in paper form. Registration packets can be downloaded online using the above links.
Complete registration packets and required documents should be scanned and emailed to Christine Castle at ccastle@gloucesterschools.com .
If you require in-person support during the registration process please email Christine Castle at ccastle@gloucesterschools.com to schedule a meeting to review your documents.
Families in need of translation support please email the Registration Office at ccastle@gloucesterschools.com Translators are available upon request.
The Registration Office will follow up with families until registration is complete.
If your child's registration is incomplete, or if you are missing documents, you will hear from the Registration Office. We will contact you to support you during the registration process for your student.Hearing from Your Child's New School
Once your child's registration is complete and approved, your child's new school will reach out with additional information and a start date.

6. Required Documents for Students Transferring to Gloucester Public Schools
IEP/504 Plan (if your child is receiving Special Education Services)
Grades K-8: Most Recent Report Card;
Grades 9-12: Transcripts
MCAS Results (if applicable)
ACCESS Test Results (if applicable)
Transfer Document or Withdrawal Letter from previous school district
